Zedge, Inc. (NYSE AMERICAN:ZDGE; $ZDGE) said on October 19, 2026, that its DataSeeds.AI business completed its first commercial model evaluation engagement for Bria.AI. The project used DataSeeds Evals and photography experts from Zedge’s GuruShots community to examine quality issues in AI-generated images that may be difficult for automated assessment systems to resolve.

#Human review applied to AI-generated images

Bria, an agentic visual AI platform for enterprise content production, used the service to assess visual outputs against detailed quality requirements. The work focused on image characteristics where professional creative judgement could provide additional insight beyond automated metrics and vision-language models.

Several GuruShots evaluators reviewed each image independently. DataSeeds established an agreement threshold for a conclusive assessment. When the initial reviews did not reach that threshold, further independent evaluations were carried out until the required level of agreement was achieved.

The process separated images that met the defined standards from those that required additional model refinement. It also addressed more nuanced and borderline results rather than relying only on straightforward outcomes.

#DataSeeds expands beyond training data

Jonathan Reich, Zedge’s President and COO, said AI developers need methods for assessing model outputs across aesthetic and technical criteria, including errors that automated systems may miss. He said DataSeeds began with multimodal training data and that discussions with customers indicated demand across additional parts of the AI workflow.

Dr. Yair Adato, Bria’s Founder and CEO, said the evaluation service matched the professional expertise of its reviewers with Bria’s requirements. He said experienced visual professionals helped the company examine subtle quality issues and identify areas where further model refinement was needed.

Zedge said the engagement demonstrated the potential for DataSeeds to broaden its services across more AI workflows. The company recently announced an approximately $7.7 million direct investment led by Vice Chairman Howard Jonas. Morris Berger also joined Zedge as CEO, with the stated goal of accelerating DataSeeds’ growth and broadening its capabilities as a core business.

#GuruShots community and DataSeeds business

GuruShots is a photography competition game in which participants submit images to challenges and vote on competing photographs. The platform has generated more than 180 million photo uploads through its competition model.

DataSeeds.AI is Zedge’s B2B AI data business. It provides managed, multimodal data creation and related services for AI developers and enterprises, drawing on Zedge Marketplace contributors, the GuruShots photography community, broader crowdsourcing and production partners. Zedge describes the resulting data as rights-cleared and created to customer specifications.

#Market context and company profile

Grand View Research estimates that the global AI training dataset market will grow from approximately $3.9 billion in 2026 to $16.3 billion by 2033, representing a 22.6% compound annual growth rate. Image and video represented roughly 42% of the market in 2025, according to the material cited by Zedge.

Zedge says its creator communities serve 20 million monthly active users across its platforms. Its Zedge Marketplace is described as its flagship mobile-personalisation content marketplace and a core profit and cash flow generator.

#Forward-looking statement caution

Zedge said statements that are not purely historical facts may be forward-looking statements, including statements using terms such as “believe,” “anticipate,” “expect,” “plan,” “intend,” “estimate” and “target.” The company cautioned that actual results may differ materially from those expressed or implied, referred investors to its SEC filings for related information and risks, and said it assumes no obligation to update such statements to the extent permitted by applicable law.
