Sourcing
Every piece of FAQSIR coverage is generated from one company announcement. Announcements reach us from newswire feeds, from the companies that subscribe to FAQSIR, and occasionally from our own staff adding one by hand.
FAQSIR's summary and investor FAQs are generated by AI from the text of this announcement alone, without information from other sources.
Figures, forecasts and other claims are the announcement's, not FAQSIR's. FAQSIR does not independently verify them. We do not check that an announcement was made to a regulator, or that the page we took it from is the company's own. Where it is available, a release page shows the announcement it was generated from, so you can read the original.
Use of AI
FAQSIR coverage is written by AI. Large language models from commercial AI providers write the summaries, investor FAQs, articles and video scripts, and the videos themselves are generated with an AI avatar. Some parts of a page are not AI: where a page shows how a figure changed between periods, that change is calculated directly from the announcement's own tables.
Every article carries this statement:
This article was generated by an artificial intelligence system from an announcement published by the issuer. It has not been independently researched, verified, or edited by a journalist, and no person holds editorial responsibility for its wording.
Our pages also mark AI-generated content in their metadata, using the IPTC digital source type for media created by a trained algorithm, so that search engines and other software can tell what they are reading.
Checks before publication
Before an article is published, it is checked automatically against the announcement it was written from:
- figures, company names, tickers and material terms in the coverage are compared with the announcement;
- contradictions — a figure going the wrong way, the wrong unit or period, arithmetic that does not add up — are flagged;
- a second AI model, separate from the one that wrote the coverage, marks it against a rubric drawn from US securities rules on promotional and misleading content, and on what counts as investment advice.
Coverage that fails is regenerated with the failures pointed out, and gets 3 attempts in all. If it still fails, it is not published. If coverage that is already live is rejected, it is taken down.
Human review
No person reviews or edits an article before it is published, and no person holds editorial responsibility for its wording. That is why every article says so.
People are involved after the checks. Coverage the checks reject goes to a review queue, where our staff can have it regenerated. Publishing rejected coverage without changes needs two different members of staff: one to request it, with a reason, and another to approve it.
Our staff can remove any article from the newswire and listings, or take it down entirely, at any time — including when a reader reports an error. Our corrections policy explains how.
Not investment advice
This article does not provide any financial advice and is not a recommendation to deal in any securities or product. Investments may fall in value and an investor may lose some or all of their investment. Past performance is not an indicator of future performance.
Paid coverage
The issuer named in this article pays for coverage of its announcements to be produced and published here. This is paid-for issuer communication, not independent editorial coverage.
Who pays FAQSIR, and for what, is set out on our ownership and funding page.
