Kalo Gold Reports 4.3-Kilometre Surface Gold Occurrence Corridor at Wainikoro
Kalo Gold has reported a new detectORE™ result from Wainikoro, extending the reported surface gold occurrence corridor to 4.3 kilometres within the Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji.
Kalo Gold Corp. has reported that occurrences of surface gold mineralization at Wainikoro, part of its 100%-owned Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji, now cover 4.3 kilometres along a structural corridor interpreted from an IP resistivity survey. The company said the latest indication came from a quartz vein sample collected approximately 1.8 km southwest of the previously identified southernmost result.
The update was issued on October 28, 2026. Kalo Gold said drilling at Wainikoro is planned to commence in January 2027, subject to the conditions and risks outlined by the company.
Sample NAK-JT26-G-002F returned 616 detectORE™ Units, or dU. Kalo Gold provided an approximate contextual reference of ~0.62 g/t Au est. The sample was taken from a brecciated quartz vein containing iron-oxide-filled vugs, down-ridge from quartz vein outcrops measuring up to 30 cm wide.
The company said the same corridor had previously produced fire-assay results of up to 8.78 g/t Au and up to 7.83 g/t Au and 108 g/t Ag. The previous southernmost result cited by Kalo Gold was 1,920 dU; ~1.92 g/t Au est.
Kalo Gold stressed that dU readings are semi-quantitative field-screening results rather than certified laboratory assays. The approximate gold grades shown alongside the dU values are supplied for contextual reference only and are not intended for grade estimation. Certified fire-assay results may be higher or lower than the corresponding field-screening indication.
The company also said that no new certified assay results were reported in the update. The certified gold and silver results referenced for the corridor had been disclosed previously.
Field crews are following up the new result and prospecting the surrounding area. Through November and into early December, planned work includes trenching to test resistivity anomalies, soil sampling, geological mapping, interpretation of geophysical data and integration of the resulting datasets.
Kalo Gold said the CSAMT survey at Wainikoro was completed on October 26, 2026, while gravity surveying was complete. Gradient array IP, CSAMT and gravity data are being interpreted to help identify areas for potential drill testing.
Terry L. Tucker, Kalo Gold’s President and CEO, said the company intends to assess the corridor for width, grade and continuity before drilling. The company identifies the timing, scope and conduct of the planned drill programme as forward-looking matters that could be affected by financing, permits, tenure, regulatory approvals, weather, ground access, landowner consents, and contractor or equipment availability.
The Vatu Aurum Project comprises a 367 km² land package on Vanua Levu, Fiji, covering Special Prospecting Licences 1511 and 1464. Kalo Gold is advancing gold targets along a northeast-trending corridor described by the company as low-sulphidation epithermal.
The company cautioned that exploration may not result in a discovery. No mineral resource or mineral reserve has been estimated on the Vatu Aurum Project, and the targets discussed remain conceptual in nature. Kalo Gold also identified uncertainties involving the interpretation of geophysical data, the representativeness of grab samples, project financing and dilution, operating conditions in Fiji, fuel supply, commodity price volatility and the availability of crews and equipment.
Separately, Kalo Gold said it issued 500,000 stock options to a consultant on October 23, 2026, under its share option plan. The options are exercisable at $0.185 per share for a five-year term beginning on the grant date.
Vesting is divided into two equal tranches: 50% after 12 months and the remaining 50% after 24 months.
Kalo Gold reported that occurrences of surface gold mineralization at Wainikoro, within its 100%-owned Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji, now extend 4.3 kilometres along a structural corridor interpreted from an IP resistivity survey. The extension is based on quartz vein sample NAK-JT26-G-002F, which returned 616 detectORE™ Units.
Kalo Gold announced the update on October 28, 2026. The announcement covers the latest sample result, exploration work at Wainikoro and plans for drilling and other field programmes.

No, Kalo Gold states that detectORE™ dU values are semi-quantitative field-screening results and are not certified assays. The approximate gold grades shown alongside dU values are for contextual reference only, and certified laboratory fire-assay results may be higher or lower than the corresponding field-screening indication.
Kalo Gold said field crews are following up the sample result and prospecting the surrounding area. Kalo Gold says drilling at Wainikoro is planned to commence in January 2027. The company identifies the timing, scope and conduct of the planned drill programme as forward-looking and says commencement may be affected by factors including weather, ground access, landowner consents, contractor or equipment availability and financing.
Terry L. Tucker, President and CEO of Kalo Gold, said the company would use the period before drilling to identify parts of the corridor with the width, grade and continuity to justify drill testing. He also said the completed IP, CSAMT and gravity survey data was being interpreted and was critical for drill targeting ahead of the January 2027 programme.
Kalo Gold said the CSAMT survey at Wainikoro was completed on October 26, 2026, and that gravity surveying was complete. The company also said gradient array IP, CSAMT and gravity surveys had been delivered across Wainikoro, with the data being interpreted and integrated with other datasets.
