ESGold Corp. has signed a second non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with Gestion D.S. 50 Inc. covering the potential supply and beneficial reuse of up to 200,000 metric tonnes annually of neutralized mining residue from the Montauban Gold-Silver Project in Québec.
The agreement follows an October 29, 2026 announcement concerning an MOU with Culture H. Dolbec Inc. for up to 300,000 metric tonnes annually. ESGold says the two arrangements represent potential aggregate supply of up to 500,000 metric tonnes annually.
The proposed volumes are indicative maximums. They do not represent guaranteed deliveries, purchases or minimum commitments. Both MOUs are non-binding and reflect the parties’ current intentions.
Any future supply remains subject to material characterization, environmental testing, applicable regulatory approvals and the execution of definitive agreements by the parties. Pricing and other commercial terms have not yet been established under the MOUs.
ESGold says the arrangements create potential pathways for treated historic mining waste to be converted into aggregate for approved construction applications. That use remains subject to testing and compliance with regulatory standards.
The Montauban Project is currently permitted to process up to 300,000 tonnes of historic tailings annually. ESGold says that capacity can be increased with the requisite permits.
The company’s planned operation is intended to recover remaining precious metals from historic tailings and treat, neutralize and stabilize the material left after recovery. The treated residue is being evaluated for possible use in approved construction applications.
More than a century of mining activity at Montauban left substantial quantities of tailings stored at surface, according to ESGold. The company says its planned processing approach is intended to address that environmental legacy while assessing possible reuse of the residual material.
ESGold Chief Executive Officer and Director Gordon Robb said the second MOU brings the company’s combined potential annual aggregate supply to 500,000 tonnes. He described the initiative as an effort to address the historic environmental issue while pursuing new economic opportunities.
ESGold identifies itself as a fully permitted, fully funded, pre-production mining company. Its flagship Montauban Gold-Silver Project in Québec is under construction, and the company says it is pursuing gold and silver production while evaluating district-scale exploration potential.
ESGold is listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange under CSE:ESAU, on the OTCQB under OTCQB:ESAUF and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under FSE:Z7D.
ESGold Corp. announced that it had signed a second non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), this time with Gestion D.S. 50 Inc., for the potential supply and beneficial reuse of up to 200,000 metric tonnes annually of neutralized mining residue from the Montauban Gold-Silver Project in Québec.
The second MOU covers the potential supply and beneficial reuse of up to 200,000 metric tonnes annually of neutralized mining residue from ESGold Corp.’s fully permitted Montauban Gold-Silver Project in Québec. The material would be considered for use as aggregate in approved construction applications, subject to testing and regulatory standards.
