Tintina Mines Limited has begun diamond drilling and field activities at its wholly owned Dos Amigos copper-gold project in Chile’s Atacama Region. The company said the initial approximately 40,000-metre programme is intended to support the conversion of Inferred Mineral Resources to the Indicated category and provide a basis for future feasibility study workstreams.
#Drilling programme at Dos Amigos
Most of the work will target the Dos Amigos porphyry deposit, where planned drill holes will range between 300m and 800m in depth. Shallower drilling is also planned at the Marisol breccia, north of the Dos Amigos pit, where the company has identified near-surface supergene mineralization.
Tintina said drilling activities are expected to build during the next month. Up to six (6) rigs are expected to operate at the site in Q4 2026 on a 24-hour basis until Q2 2027, according to the company’s plans.
The programme will also include geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations for feasibility study work, while drill core will provide material for metallurgical testing. The metallurgical work will supplement testing completed for the preliminary economic assessment and a programme already under way.
#Mineral resource figures
The Mineral Resource Estimate was prepared by SRK Consulting (Chile) SpA and reported in a technical report with an effective date of January 23, 2026.
Measured & Indicated Mineral Resources are reported at 100.8 million tonnes, grading 0.35% copper and 0.28 g/t gold. Inferred Mineral Resources are reported at 256.3 Mt, grading 0.34% copper and 0.24 g/t gold.
The estimates were reported within a conceptual open pit at a cut-off grade of 0.2% total copper. The company states that mineral resources are not mineral reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability. It also cautions that the quantity and grade of Inferred Mineral Resources are uncertain, and that further exploration may not result in their conversion to the Indicated or Measured categories.
#Results and exploration plans
Tintina intends to release assay results regularly as they are received and validated, with initial assays expected mid-November. The company also intends to publish an updated Mineral Resource Estimate in H2 2027 after all assays have been received.
The company said it plans to test the Tricolor target in Q4 2026. The target is described as a high-priority porphyry target located ~3km north of Dos Amigos. Earlier drilling at Tricolor in 2018 returned 230m @ 0.56% copper and 0.33 g/t gold from 18m to end-of-hole. Tintina noted that the orientation of the mineralization is currently unknown, meaning the reported intercept may not represent true widths.
A broader regional exploration campaign is also intended for H2 2027. The planned work would include geophysics, surface geochemistry and mapping across a 10km-long trend of porphyry centres on Tintina’s concessions.
#Operational and regulatory considerations
The company’s disclosures identify several factors that could affect the planned work, including drill-rig availability, laboratory capacity, contractors, skilled personnel and assay turnaround times. The project also requires an environmental impact assessment, a maritime concession and further sectoral permits. Tintina cautioned that permitting timelines could be longer than anticipated and that required regulatory approvals must be received and maintained.
Other identified risks include environmental matters, community relations, political or economic developments in Chile, supply-chain effects from conflicts, operating or technical difficulties, and changes to project parameters as plans are refined. The company also states that exploration and development of copper and gold projects are speculative.
#Management and investor-relations appointments
Richard Leclerc was appointed General Manager of Andean Belt Resources SpA, Tintina’s wholly owned Chilean subsidiary, effective September 7, 2026. Based in Santiago, he will oversee the subsidiary’s operations, including the Dos Amigos project and relations with local authorities, communities and contractors in Chile.
Tintina also engaged 2608124 Ontario Inc., doing business as Target IR & Communications, to provide investor-relations services. The agreement has an initial term of six months and is renewable quarterly at the company’s option. Tintina will pay CAD$9,000 per month, plus applicable taxes. The engagement remains subject to acceptance by the Exchange, and no securities of the company have been issued or are issuable under the agreement.
