BioLargo announces launch of barebird.com for pet and laundry odour products
BioLargo has launched barebird.com, the direct-to-consumer website for its company-owned barebird brand, which initially offers pet and laundry odour products.
BioLargo, Inc. (OTCQX:BLGO) has announced that barebird.com is live, introducing a direct-to-consumer sales channel for its company-owned barebird brand. The brand has launched with products designed for pet and laundry odour control.
barebird is the first brand established by BioLargo CPG LLC, a BioLargo subsidiary created to bring CupriDyne-based products to households under a brand owned by BioLargo.
BioLargo CPG holds an exclusive licence covering the use of BioLargo’s CupriDyne technology in consumer-packaged goods. The company said the barebird website went live on Friday after the launch had been announced the previous week.
The barebird range currently includes pet and laundry odour products. BioLargo said further pet and household odour and cleaning products are planned to follow.
BioLargo also said barebird uses the same technology associated with Pooph, which it described as one of Amazon’s leading pet-odour brands. The company said owning barebird gives it control over the brand’s marketing, messaging and organisational infrastructure.
BioLargo describes itself as a cleantech and life sciences innovator and an engineering services solution provider. Its stated areas of activity include PFAS contamination, water and wastewater treatment, odour and volatile organic compound control, air quality, energy efficiency, on-site energy storage, infection control and wound care.
The company says it develops technologies into products and expands their commercial reach through licensing and channel partnerships. BioLargo CPG’s CupriDyne licence is the consumer-products application outlined in the announcement.
Dennis Calvert, BioLargo’s President and CEO, said the company expects to provide updates on barebird as the brand develops. BioLargo invited stockholders, customers and supporters to visit the website, provide feedback and share information about the brand through their networks.
The company cautioned that statements concerning anticipated revenue and future operations are forward-looking and involve risks and uncertainties. The risks identified include regional economic conditions affecting consumer and business purchasing decisions, competition in markets subject to rapid technological change, challenges associated with introducing products and services and generating customer demand, and reliance on distributors. BioLargo said actual results may differ materially from future results expressed or implied by those statements.
