Sparton Resources Says Trading Resumption Remains Conditional on Technical Report
Sparton Resources has provided an update on the trading halt affecting its securities, stating that Morrison Mine filings have been conditionally accepted while further regulatory requirements remain outstanding.
Sparton Resources Inc. (TSXV:SRI) has updated investors on the temporary suspension of trading in its securities, saying the proposed Morrison Mine Option Agreement has received conditional acceptance from the TSX Venture Exchange. Trading has not resumed, as the company still needs to meet technical-report and disclosure requirements.
#Trading halt follows Morrison and Glen Eagle announcements
CIRO placed the trading halt on September 1, 2026, after the TSX Venture Exchange requested a temporary suspension. The action followed Sparton’s June 18, 2026 announcement concerning the Morrison Mine Option Agreement and a subsequent announcement on September 1, 2026 concerning the Glen Eagle Option Agreement.
Sparton said filings connected with the Morrison Mine Option Agreement are now available through the LINX system and that the proposed transaction has been conditionally accepted by the Exchange.
However, resumption of trading remains subject to the filing of a NI 43-101 Technical Report pursuant to Section 5.6(d)(iii) of Policy 5.3. The company must also satisfactorily address and resolve all comments provided by the Exchange’s Compliance and Disclosure Department.
Sparton said an independent NI 43-101 Technical Report has been commissioned and, according to the company, should be completed and filed shortly. No specific calendar date for the filing was provided.
President and CEO A. Lee Barker said the two Morrison Mine transactions would provide Sparton with exposure to silver in an established Canadian silver camp. He said Sparton intends to retain operatorship and use its wholly owned drilling company for a programme largely funded by Glen Eagle Resources.
According to Barker, this structure could allow Sparton to generate drilling revenue while advancing exploration on the Morrison Mine Property. The statement is forward-looking and remains subject to the risks and uncertainties identified by the company, including the satisfaction of option and earn-in conditions, receipt of regulatory approvals, future expenditures, formation and operation of the joint venture, and the Morrison exploration programme.
Sparton described Morrison as a past producer that averaged approximately 29 oz/ton of silver over its production life, citing Cunningham, 1980, Ontario Department of Mines Assessment Files.
The company cautioned that this historical grade and mineral-occurrence information is based on historical records and published sources. It said a Qualified Person has not completed sufficient new exploration work to independently verify all of the historical information, and Sparton does not treat it as a current mineral resource or mineral reserve.
Sparton Resources is a mineral exploration company with critical-mineral and gold projects in Ontario and Quebec. It also holds a strategic investment in a vanadium redox flow battery manufacturer.
Lee Barker, M.Sc. (A.), P.Eng., President and CEO of Sparton, is identified by the company as a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101 and reviewed and approved the technical information in the announcement.
