Kalo Gold Reports Gold and Silver Results from New Wainikoro Vein Target in Fiji

Kalo Gold Corp. has reported gold and silver assay results from a newly identified vein target at Wainikoro within its Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji. Seven reconnaissance rock samples collected from one previously unsampled outcrop returned gold assays of up to 7.83 g/t and silver assays of up to 108 g/t.

Five of the seven samples returned greater than 2 g/t gold, while three returned greater than 4 g/t gold. The results came from the New Vein Cluster, where quartz veins are exposed over approximately 15 metres of strike length.

#Vein structure and geological setting

The outcrop contains two intersecting vein sets. One trends NNW-SSE and the other runs east-west. Kalo Gold interprets the cross-cutting relationship as evidence of at least two episodes of veining and hydrothermal activity.

The exposure does not establish the full extent of either vein set. Both are obscured by overburden along strike, and the company says planned trenching and channel sampling will be used to assess their widths and continuity.

The New Vein Cluster is located approximately 270 metres northeast of the principal Wainikoro graben structure, along the margin of a discrete magnetic low. The veins show features associated with a low-sulphidation epithermal system, including elevated gold, silver, arsenic, antimony, lead and zinc. Kalo Gold says the geological interpretations remain conceptual and will be evaluated through further exploration.

#Planned exploration and geophysical surveys

Kalo Gold plans additional geological mapping, structural measurements, channel sampling and trenching across the two vein sets. The work is intended to examine possible extensions beneath the overburden.

Gradient array induced polarization and gravity surveys are underway across Wainikoro, with a Controlled-Source Audio-frequency Magnetotellurics survey scheduled to follow. The company stated that gradient array IP began 31 July 2026; five of the eight survey blocks had been completed, with the remaining blocks scheduled for completion by late September 2026.

The gravity survey began 14 August 2026 and is scheduled for completion in late September 2026. CSAMT is scheduled to commence in late September 2026 and continue into October 2026.
