Eskay Mining Corp. has completed 3,638 meters of NQ drilling across nine diamond drill holes as part of its 2026 exploration program. The company also continues surface mapping and sampling, while laboratory analysis and structural studies remain underway.

#Drilling and sample analysis

The drilling status reported by Eskay covers work through September 6, 2026. Core from the program is photographed before cutting, uploaded to Seequent’s Imago system and prepared as half-core composites measuring three meter samples or less.

Every second sample is being sent to the ALS laboratory in Vancouver. Sludge from alternate samples is analysed at Eskay’s Stewart laboratory using portable XRF for a suite of 37 elements and PortablePPB’s detectORE method for gold.

Eskay says the Stewart laboratory data is available more quickly and is being used to help determine where subsequent boreholes should be located. The detectORE results are reported in parts per billion and indicate gold chemically extracted from drill-core sludge. The company states that this method does not provide a “total contained gold” assay.

ALS assays for hole EM26-02 and later holes are not expected until October. Eskay says those results will be released with the Stewart laboratory data after the ALS results have been received and evaluated. The company’s drill core remains subject to assay results.

#Structural work and core observations

Dr. Brett Davis spent ten days in August examining core from holes EM26-01 and EM26-02 and helping the exploration team apply structural geology, including the logging of multi-generational vein systems.

In September, Davis completed what Eskay described as the first comprehensive structural framework study of the property. The study used results from geophysical surveys on and around the Eskay-Corey property. Eskay says observed and inferred structural features are being used to help prioritise exploration targets.

The company also reported visual similarities between multi-generational veins in core from hole EM26-07 and core previously described from the neighbouring Brucejack Gold Deposit. Eskay cautioned that visual appearance does not establish similar chemical composition or mineralogy, and the drill core remains subject to assay results.

#Surface mapping and target areas

Surface mapping and sampling around the company’s drilling targets has been in progress since July. All surface samples are being submitted to ALS in Vancouver. Eskay expects the analytical results in October or November after they have been received and evaluated by the company.

President and CEO Mac Balkam said the Vermillion target had produced core with an appearance similar to core from the Brucejack Gold Deposit, located 13 kilometers to the east of Vermillion. He also said mapping and core observations at the Sultan target indicated Hazleton stratigraphy, which he associated with Goldstorm’s Copernicus copper gold porphyry prospect four kilometers to the south, rather than the Stuhini stratigraphy shown on historical maps.

Balkam said results from Vermillion, Sultan and three other target areas drilled during the year are expected between October and December. These timing statements are the company’s expectations and remain subject to the risks and uncertainties identified in its release.

#Company background

Eskay Mining is headquartered in Toronto and is listed as TSXV:ESK, OTC PINK:ESKYF, Frankfurt:KN7 and WKN:A0YDPM. The company describes its exploration focus as precious and base metals along the Eskay rift in northwest British Columbia’s Golden Triangle, 70km northwest of Stewart. It holds 177 claims covering 52,600 hectares.

Frequently Asked Questions

Eskay Mining Corp. reported that 3,638 meters of NQ drilling had been completed in nine NQ diamond drill holes as of September 6, 2026. Surface mapping and sampling had also been ongoing around the Company's drilling targets since July. The release does not provide completed assay results for this work.
All diamond core is cut, with half-core composited into three meter samples or less and submitted for laboratory analysis. Every second sample is submitted to the ALS laboratory in Vancouver, while sludge from alternate samples is analysed in Eskay's Stewart laboratory by portable XRF for a suite of 37 elements and by PortablePPB's detectORE method for gold. The Company states that the Stewart laboratory results do not provide a "total contained gold" assay.
ALS assays for hole EM26-02 and subsequent holes are not expected until October, and the Company says they will be reported with Stewart laboratory results once the ALS results have been received and evaluated. Surface sample analytical results are expected by the Company in October or November. The release also states that results from the other three target areas drilled this year are expected between October and December, as described by President and CEO Mac Balkam.
Dr. Brett Davis spent ten days in August examining and reporting on core from drill holes EM26-01 and EM26-02, while upgrading the exploration team's use of structural geology, with particular emphasis on logging multi-generational vein systems. During September, he completed the first comprehensive structural framework study of the property. The release states that features in such studies, whether observed or inferred, assist in prioritising exploration targets, but it does not provide assay results from the study.
The Company reported a visual similarity between multi-generational veins in core from drill hole EM26-07 and drill core described from the neighbouring Brucejack Gold Deposit. It expressly states that visual similarities do not indicate similar chemical compositions or mineralogy, and that the Company's drill core remains subject to assay results. The release does not establish that the properties contain similar mineralisation.
President and CEO Mac Balkam said the Vermillion target had produced core that looked similar in appearance to core from the Brucejack Gold Deposit, which lies 13 kilometers to the east of Vermillion. He also said core and surface mapping at the Sultan target indicated the Company was in the same Hazleton stratigraphy that hosts Goldstorm's Copernicus copper gold porphyry prospect four kilometers to its south, rather than in Stuhini stratigraphy shown on historical maps. These statements are subject to the pending assay results and the forward-looking risks identified in the release.
The release identifies Eskay Mining Corp. as listed as TSXV:ESK, OTC PINK:ESKYF, Frankfurt:KN7 and WKN:A0YDPM. Its company description also refers to Eskay Mining Corp. as a TSX Venture Exchange listed company and writes the symbol as TSX-V:ESK. The release states that neither the TSX Venture Exchange nor its Regulation Services Provider accepts responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of the release.
