The Greater Miami Aviation Association describes the Wright Brothers Memorial Award as its most prestigious honour. It is presented annually to aviation and aerospace leaders whose work reflects the innovation, vision, conviction and perseverance associated with the Wright Brothers.
Previous recipients named by the association include FedEx founder and former CEO Fred Smith, former astronaut and Eastern Airlines CEO Frank Borman, Rockwell founder and former CEO Colonel Willard Rockwell, Continental Airlines CEO Gordon Bethune, National Airlines CEO L.W. “Bud” Maytag and Embraer North America President Gary Spulak.
Eric A. Mendelson and Victor H. Mendelson said they were honoured to receive the recognition and thanked the Greater Miami Aviation Association. They dedicated the award to HEICO’s nearly 13,000 Team Members worldwide, citing their hard work and commitment as contributors to the company’s success.
