SLAM Exploration Ltd. has reported a 14.45 meter core interval grading 1.60% copper equivalent (Cu-Eq) from hole GW26-33 at its Goodwin Copper-Nickel-Cobalt Project in New Brunswick. The company also said drilling has resumed at Goodwin after scheduled maintenance, while trenching is underway at the Moose Lake Gold-Antimony Project.
#GW26-33 intercept includes higher-grade sub-intervals
The mineralized section in GW26-33 began at 33.15 core-meters from surface. An initial 1.9 core-meter interval from 33.15-35.05 core-meters graded 3.48% CuEq.
A separate interval from 42.7-47.6 core-meters returned 2.61% CuEq over 4.9 core meters. Both intercepts are located below the Granges zone.
The company said the Cu-Eq values are recovered grades calculated using a 95% recovery rate and copper, nickel and cobalt prices published September 14, 2026, on Daily Metal Price.
#Assays remain pending for GW26-36
SLAM said it is awaiting assay results from hole GW26-36. That hole intersected a broad mineralized zone from 124.4 to 191.8m in coarse-grained gabbro and is located 2,000 meters northwest of the Logan zone.
The reported zone includes massive sulphide intervals at 126.5-128.6m, 140.7-142.0m, 142.35-142.4m, 144.5-144.7m and 151.0-151.7m. Semi-massive zones were also identified at 157.0-158.0m and 165.4-166.3m. No assay results for GW26-36 were provided.
#Goodwin drilling resumes after maintenance
Drilling at Goodwin resumed after a scheduled two-week break to maintain the contractor’s drill rig and related equipment. SLAM said the current work is testing an anomaly 200-meters north of GW26-33.
The 2026 drilling programme has covered 2,754 meters on the Goodwin project and an additional 554 meters on the wholly owned Jake Lee Gold Project. The company’s programme is being conducted under a 7,000-meter diamond drill contract announced in May 2026.
Hole GW26-35 was abandoned at 44-core-meters below ground surface because of poor ground conditions. SLAM said each completed hole to date had intercepted sulphide mineralization within the modelled plate anomalies, apart from the abandoned hole.
#Trenching continues at Moose Lake
At the Moose Lake Gold-Antimony Project, SLAM has started trenching at the Skull gold-antimony occurrence. The Skull zone was exposed through 8 trenches across a strike length of 250 meters.
The excavator then moved southeast to the Moose Lake gold-antimony occurrence, which the company said has been traced over a strike length of 500 meters. The Moose Lake zone is open in all directions and trenching is continuing.
Based on preliminary field observations, SLAM described the Skull and Moose Lake zones as epithermal quartz breccia deposits containing visible stibnite and arsenopyrite mineralization. Assays were pending for the first batch of 14 samples collected from Skull and submitted to ALS in Moncton for multi-element ICP and Gold Fire-Assay-AA analysis.
#Sampling and project context
For GW26-33, SLAM collected 18 samples. Core was logged at a secure facility in Bathurst, New Brunswick, sawn into half-core samples and sent to ALS in Moncton for multi-element analysis. Samples exceeding the ICP method’s limits were re-analyzed using method OG46, and blanks and standards were inserted for quality assurance.
Across the 12 completed Goodwin holes listed by the company, excluding the abandoned GW26-35, 992 core samples had been collected and submitted for analysis. The company said assay results would be disclosed in later news releases as they are received.
The Goodwin project covers 14,000 hectares (35,000 acres) in New Brunswick’s Bathurst Mining Camp. A historical result cited by SLAM is a 64.90 meter interval grading 2.19% Cu-Eq from hole GW24-02, including 3.84% Cu-Eq over 31.20 meters.
SLAM also said it had received a $60,000 grant from the Province of New Brunswick to support the 2026 Goodwin diamond drilling campaign.
