#Significant Drilling Finds at Jake Lee Gold Project
SLAM Exploration Ltd. has announced promising drilling results from its Jake Lee Gold Project in New Brunswick, Canada. The company has successfully intercepted mineralized quartz veining in all five completed diamond drill holes, indicating substantial potential for gold recovery in the region.
The drill program revealed important quartz and quartz-calcite veining along with associated minerals such as chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, and pyrite across all drill holes. Notably, the most significant intercepts included an 18-meter zone of quartz veining from 70.90 to 89.00 meters in depth, alongside a 17-meter quartz veining zone from 129.50 to 146.5 meters.
Situated 25 kilometers southeast of the Clarence Stream gold deposit operated by Galway Metals Inc., the Jake Lee project is in a mineral-rich area. Preliminary channel samples taken from the site indicated promising grades of gold, with some samples grading as high as 40.5 grams per tonne over a 0.40-meter interval, providing a strong backdrop for further exploration.
Following these encouraging findings, SLAM Exploration has taken steps to assess the mineralization further. A total of 197 core samples have been sent to ActLabs in Fredericton for comprehensive gold assays and multi-element analyses. The company also plans to extend its drilling activities to capitalize on identified geochemical anomalies adjacent to the No. 1 vein.
In conjunction with its drilling program at Jake Lee, SLAM has conducted trenched sampling to explore soil anomalies indicating gold concentrations of up to 0.466 grams per tonne. The company has also signed a contract to facilitate 7,000 meters of additional drilling, which highlights its proactive approach to exploring other mineral projects in its portfolio, including the Goodwin copper-nickel-cobalt project.
SLAM Exploration has successfully drilled quartz and quartz-calcite veining in all five diamond drill holes completed at the Jake Lee Gold Project, with notable intercepts including an 18-metre zone of mineralisation, suggesting promising geological conditions for further exploration.
The Jake Lee Gold Project is strategically located 25 kilometres southeast of the Clarence Stream gold deposit, which hosts a significant indicated resource. This proximity to known mineral wealth enhances the potential for substantial resource discoveries at Jake Lee.
The drilling revealed quartz veining associated with chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, and pyrite, which are commonly associated with gold occurrences. This mineral assemblage is a positive indicator for potential high-grade gold deposits.
Following the encouraging drilling results, SLAM Exploration plans to analyse the samples submitted for gold assays and continue its exploration efforts. This includes further drilling to expand on the identified anomalies and verify geological models.
The channel samples, which recorded grades of up to 40.5 g/t gold, highlight the potential economic viability of the project. These high-grade samples provide a compelling basis for further exploration to establish the continuity of mineralisation.
SLAM Exploration has engaged Lantech Drilling Ltd. for a comprehensive 7,000-metre drilling programme. This structured approach indicates the Company's commitment to thorough exploration, which can potentially lead to significant discoveries.
In addition to the Jake Lee Gold Project, SLAM Exploration has a diverse portfolio that includes the Goodwin copper-nickel-cobalt project and the Menneval gold project. This strategic diversification highlights the Company's robust exploration strategy across various mineral resources.
The Company has secured cash and share payments from agreements with partners, positioning itself well to fund ongoing exploration activities. This robust financial strategy, alongside potential discoveries, could enhance shareholder value.
