Silver Tiger Metals Inc. has reported continued construction activity at its El Tigre silver and gold project in Sonora, Mexico, alongside its planned inclusion in the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF. The company said the ETF inclusion will take effect at the close of markets on September 18, 2026, as part of the fund’s quarterly rebalance.
#Planned addition to the GDXJ ETF
Silver Tiger trades under TSX:SLVR and OTCQX:SLVTF. The company said it has been included in the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF, known as GDXJ, subject to the effective date set for September 18, 2026.
GDXJ tracks the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index, which is designed to represent small- and mid-capitalization companies mainly involved in gold and silver mining, development, royalties or streaming. As of early September 2026, the ETF had approximately US$9.3 billion in assets under management and more than 110 holdings.
Silver Tiger President and CEO Glenn Jessome said the company believes the inclusion could raise its profile, support trading liquidity and broaden its reach among institutional and retail investors seeking exposure to gold and silver companies. Those comments are the company’s assessment of the potential effect of the ETF inclusion.
