The recently completed drill hole, identified as SPRD-07, confirmed the high-grade bornite zone has extended approximately 300 meters further south than prior drilling. This operation revealed intervals of 20 meters with 2.65% copper (Cu) and 13.9 grams per tonne (g/t) silver (Ag), including a particularly rich segment of 6 meters that measured 6.11% Cu and 24.0 g/t Ag. Additional significant findings include 104 meters at 1.01% Cu and 4.7 g/t Ag, with a notable 40-meter section showing 2.04% Cu and 11.1 g/t Ag.
For the first time, drilling at the Pampa Medina site, particularly with hole SPRD-08B, has encountered mineralization in the underlying basement metasediments, deepening to a remarkable 1,052 meters. This finding suggests the possibility of further mineral resources that extend beyond the previously established geological models. Marimaca Copper's exploration progress reinforces the hypothesis of multiple stacked manto-style copper-silver horizons within the deposit.
