Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. has announced the successful completion of a drilling program at its wholly owned Dufferin West Property in Saskatchewan. This initiative, executed by partner Refined Energy Corp., signifies a notable advancement in assessing uranium mineralisation prospects in the area.
The drilling program covered a total of 975 metres and included multiple high-priority geophysical and structural targets. One of the key drill holes, DW26-003, reached the unconformity at 312 metres and encountered two significant brecciated fault zones. This hole was adjusted in response to geological observations from a preceding drill hole, DW26-001, which intersected a targeted graphitic conductor at 381 metres.
The Dufferin Project, comprising the North and West Dufferin properties, lies adjacent to other prominent uranium sites, such as NexGen Energy's SW3 Property. The proximity of these properties, alongside promising results from historical drilling, has enhanced the potential of the Dufferin West Property.
Geochemical analyses from the drilling are underway, which will be instrumental in refining the geological model to identify possible uranium vectors. Chuck Downie, President and CEO of Eagle Plains, noted that multiple priority targets remain untested, emphasizing opportunities for further exploration.
The drilling program was completed on budget, incurring approximately $1.7 million. The disciplined management of exploration costs aligns with Eagle Plains' strategic focus on advancing its mineral projects while ensuring shareholder value.
Eagle Plains Resources has reported that its partner, Refined Energy Corp, has successfully completed a drill programme at the Dufferin West Property. This signifies progress in exploring potential uranium mineralisation in the region.
The Dufferin West Property is strategically located near significant uranium projects, such as NexGen Energy's SW3 Property and Cameco's Centennial Deposit, which have demonstrated promising historical results, potentially enhancing the value of Eagle Plains' exploration efforts.
The drill programme identified brecciated fault zones and targeted conductors, which are essential features that may indicate the presence of uranium mineralisation. These findings could be pivotal in guiding further exploration at the Dufferin West Property.
Eagle Plains intends to analyse the geochemical samples obtained from the drilling to refine its geological model. This analytical phase will help determine the potential for uranium vectors and guide subsequent exploration decisions.
The drilling programme was completed on budget for approximately $1.7 million, reflecting a disciplined approach to managing exploration costs while pursuing valuable mineral opportunities.
Eagle Plains has a strong track record as a project generator, having delivered significant shareholder value through various initiatives and partnerships, thus positioning itself as a stable player in the resource sector.
The company is focused on advancing its projects towards discovery and development while maintaining strong community relationships and upholding ethical business practices, which could enhance long-term shareholder value.
Given the geological features characteristic of the area and previous exploration successes, there is considerable potential for finding uranium mineralisation, supported by promising historical data and ongoing geophysical assessments.
