Barton Gold Holdings Limited has released significant assay results from its Challenger Gold Project in South Australia, showing promising mineralisation that could enhance the project’s economic viability.
The company recently completed 8,065 meters of reverse circulation drilling across multiple target areas, including the Challenger Main and the Challenger West open pits. These efforts have led to the identification of new high-grade mineralisation zones.
Assays from the Challenger Main pit revealed gold grades reaching up to 170 grams per tonne (g/t), confirming the presence of high-grade mineralisation in the open pit walls. Adjacent assays from the Challenger West pit indicated similar success, with grades reported as high as 60 g/t in the floor of the pit.
Barton Gold is currently conducting a Definitive Feasibility Study aimed at designing a streamlined Stage 1 operation. This operation will focus on utilizing historical higher-grade tailings and accessing easily reachable near-surface materials, all while keeping the existing infrastructure intact.
